Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider The BLS Healthcare Provider course is designed to meet the needs of individuals responding to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. The content of this course includes adult and pediatric CPR, foreign-body airway obstruction and two-rescuer CPR. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Skills Exam
The BLS Healthcare Provider skills exam is designed to meet the needs of individuals responding to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. The contents of this skills test include: a short video clip, instructor demonstration and student question-answer time. Following this brief instruction period, students will be expected to perform the skills in the manner required by the AHA guidelines and complete a brief written evaluation. This is a skills test only. No practice and no remediation. Students who cannot successfully perform the skills on their first attempt will be asked to take a 3-hour BLS Renewal Course at their own expense. Necessary materials will be provided. - Prerequisites: Current AHA BLS for the Healthcare provider card and proficiency in CPR skills
